Eugen Sandow was to Colonel Lloyd Venture what Brock Samson is to Rusty: a bodyguard and confidante. He is the first known Venture bodyguard. He was given orders by an unknown entity (possibly a precursor of the OSI) to terminate Lloyd Venture if he wanted to use the Orb. He did not actually kill Col. Lloyd Venture, but instead destroyed the Orb which was okay with the Colonel once he was told he should be dead. He is the Victorian era bodybuilder Eugen Sandow, whose image is seen on the Mr. Olympia bodybuilding trophy.
