Manotaur was a member of the Fraternity of Torment. He was killed by Phantom Limb in the epilogue of Shadowman 9: In the Cradle of Destiny, presumably as a result of false identification by The Monarch. After meeting and being caught seducing Dr. Girlfriend (then Phantom Limb's girlfriend) at a costume ball, The Monarch falsely identified himself to Phantom Limb as "The Manotaur" in order to avoid his eventual wrath, earning the unwitting Manotaur a permanent and undeserved place on Limb's "shit list".
