Col. Lloyd Venture was the father of Jonas Venture and great-grandfather to the Venture Bros. He was a member of the original Guild, which would later evolve into the modern The Guild of Calamitous Intent.
He was supposedly killed by his bodyguard, Sandow when he attempted to use the power of the ORB. In truth his bodyguard broke the ORB. Lloyd was furious at this until he learned the original orders were to kill him. Calling it even the two resolved never to talk of the event to anyone.
